Explaining parental and child rights under IDEA and state laws.
Guiding families through the referral and eligibility determination process.
Interpreting and clarifying evaluation reports for parents.
Reviewing and recommending improvements to IEP goals, FBAs, and BIPs.
Suggesting tailored services, accommodations, and modifications to meet the child’s needs.
Analyzing progress data to ensure the student is making gains.
Preparing parents for IEP and 504 Plan meetings to improve their participation.
Attending meetings to provide direct advocacy and support.
Drafting communications to address concerns with school or district personnel.
Assessing the appropriateness of a child’s educational placement.
Assisting with disputes and advising when bringing in legal counsel may be necessary.

What does it Cost?

With every family having different needs we’ve kept our pricing consistent and straightforward to make things easier for everyone:

The initial meeting is billed at a discounted rate of $75 for an hour
All subsequent services are billed at $100 per hour. This includes reviewing educational records, writing and reviewing district correspondence, attending meetings, one-to-one coaching, and any other services necessary
An additional $0.50 per mile will be charged for all travel to and from meetings outside of a 30-mile radius from the EmpowerEd Families office in Franklin, MA. Meetings can be attended virtually for no additional charge.
